My husband and I look forward to stopping here after services on Sunday the staff is always friendly kind and definitely working hard. We absolutely love to chili sauce , if you had not had one of their chili dogs, you are missing out my friends... Bon appetit 😋😋

Wot-A-Dog is one of the best Drive-In restaurants I have experienced here in Ohio. They are a seasonal Drive-In so check there Facebook page to see if there open, and specials. Today was the last day of the 2022 season, I can't wait for them to reopen in 2023.

I love the atmosphere and the food. Ate here twice this summer both times we had the same waitress. I thought it was strange each time we did not get our drinks until our food came out, Of course not a huge deal, Just abnormal? Also, when paying with the card had to tip when ordering, I would prefer to tip after the meal based on the service.Overall we love coming here.

An old fashioned experience. "Car hops" and "window trays" make this a fun change to the "fast food" rut. Burger was outstanding in taste and large enough to completely satify without 'extras'. I even splurged on my sugar content with a root beer float. So yummy and fun.

Good service.. Friendly servers. But... The coney sauce tasted like it was scorched a little. Onion rings cooked to perfection and root beer was ice cold. I'll give it another try again this summer... But only because the servers made it enjoyable !!!

Won’t be going back to the patio area here as they allow patrons to bring large dogs (not service animals) such as pit bulls and Rottweilers to the eating area! Very rude considering, not everyone is comfortable around these animals and may be allergic etc, we couldn’t enjoy our meal due to this and were super nervous with having an infant, and a 3 & 4 year old at our table and not knowing these dogs demeanor. Ridiculous!

Great little place to stop in on your motorcycle or car. Good menu choices of your favorites. Flavor is always good. Food comes out hot and fresh. Friendly service. Plenty of parking. Nice seating outside.

This place used to be so good to eat at. It's a joke now. $40 for an adult and a child to have a decent meal. The sauce has been ruined, and the wait times are ridiculous anymore. If you want better food locally then go up to Arrow Queen in New Carlisle.

Speedy service. Foot long hot dogs are LONGER than the bun. Side of cheese sauce is the hottest ever. Highly recommend if you're into the car hop diner place

This is a great little place, just the way it should be. Hot dogs, Corn dogs, Coney dogs, hamburgers, french fries, ice cream and more. Also, fresh, made on site, draft Root Beer! And, it taste great! You can buy the root beer by the half gallon, or growler. Fresh draft Root beer is one of the best things in life. The business is set up like an old Drive-in car-hop kind of place, so just pull in, and they come up to your car to take your order, and then you eat in your car. You can also park, and walk up to the window, and eat at the picnic tables in the covered outdoor eating area.This is one of the last remaining great places of this kind, and we need more places like it. I will choose a place like this over a fast-food chain every single time I have the choice to do so.

We have been coming here every summer since we moved to New Carlisle in 2018, averaging one visit per week during the season. Not once have we ever had an issue with our order or the customer service. Everything is always prepared fresh and accurately. Every car hop we've encountered has always been extremely polite and helpful. Highly recommended.

Very friendly service, even with them packed and us sitting in our car in what appeared to be an overflow lot they were on top of it. Jessie B was a great car hop and went the extra step to make sure our dog had fresh cold water to drink while we ate. Great food!! First time customer who will return for sure!!!

This was our first time going there and we ordered three different burgers off the menu. All three were charred, and It was sort of like licking the grates of the grill. I am not sure who cooks burgers well done without being requested to have them cooked that way but they were not good at all.If they can't get a simple burger cooked, I don't have high expectations for anything else on the menu.I did order a root beer just to try it, and it wasn't bad but nothing to write home about.I was not a fan but it's possible I may give them another chance at some point.

LarderRoom...Double Bacon Cheeseburger, 2 Footlong Dog (Coney & Onions and Mustard) and the Dog House Burger (Pretzel Bun, Rebel Sauce, Bacon, Smoked Gouda Cheese & Fried Pickles)!!!!! Added a few Root Beers & a Root Beet Float! Delicious! The secret is the Lava Rock Charbroiler!

Want to step back in time to a old fashioned car hop restaurant? This place is close except for the notebook computers used for ordering by the car hops. Great little place to visit. Friendly service. Eat at the picnic tables or in your car. We get the regular Coney dogs with onion. Excellent taste. One slight ding for a squooshed bun. Also get the crinkle cut fries. Very good, nice and crispy with a good portion size. Everyone needs to try out this place before they close for the season.

Was not impressed this time. Ordered 2 foot long chili dogs but they didn't have any buns. Also got 2 orders of mushrooms and a mug of root beer and a coke. Wound up with 3 regular hot dogs and a hair within the mushrooms. They did bring out another regular hot dog but too late, we're done with them.$21. and a $5. tip

It's always a great feeling to patronize and support our local restaurants and establishments. And that's why today it was nice to step back in time and visit a Home Town favorite. I received swift service accompaned by a smiling and friendly server. The food was great and flooded me with memories dating back 30+ years. I know that in the past years, new owners have tried to revive this Home Town favorite. Im hope it continues to succeed and prosper. I highly suggest the fried mushrooms. Step back in time to Bland carhops were popular in going to the popular one in town was the thing to do on Friday and Saturday night. This treasured restaurant is like going through the time warp. The food is excellent oh, the service is great, and we always look forward to the opening of water dog drive-thru as it triggers that spring is here.

Dogs were pretty good but a little confused that sign said open till 9:00 but they told us closing at 8:00???.The young girl waiting on us in our car was super nice and a great representative of the place. She would make us want to come back as much if not more than the food.

Ordered two double cheeseburgers. They were charbroiled over lava rocks. They tasted terrific. They are the real deal. The french fries were great. Food was hot and portion size was above average. Great prices! Best tasting root beer in the area. I tip my hat to you for the excellent food, soda and excellent service. Excellent job!

Ordered a hamburger without pickles, I got pickles had to go up and get my own napkins. Also the glass I was drinking out of was cracked. Ordered a BLT sandwich to go from my mother-in-law The BLT sandwich was made on an untolded hamburger bun really.All of that for $42.

Our first time there and the service was OUTSTANDING!! This was very impressive considering they were very busy. My husband had a burger and it was DELICIOUS! I had the Footlong, it was good. My only "complaint" would be I wish they would some salt to the Onion Rings when they came out of the fryer.

Wot A disappointment. Very slow service. The Wot A Dog burger came on a old dried out bun that fell apart. I couldn't complain because no one ever checked on us. All the other food was good

We got to Wot-A-Dog at 7:25pm and a server came out at 7:35pm. We were told the only thing we could order were hot dogs/coney dogs, sodas and chips because they close at 8pm. Fortunately I was craving a coney dog, but was disappounted we couldn't get fries to go with it. 😪The coney dog was very good as was the home made rootbeer! Just wish they wouldn't start cleaning up till 8pm so we had more variety!

Visited for the first time and I’m sad we didn’t find this place earlier. I ordered a ribeye sandwich, fries and a root beer. Everything was excellent including the service. I’ll be back next year when you open back up in the spring!

Wot-a-dog wot-a-wait. Food was okay, root beer floats were good, but it took forever for 1 burger, 2 corn dogs plus fries and tots. In the time it took our food to arrive, three cars that arrived after us, got their orders, ate and left. I was not expecting “value menu” speed but what we experienced was a huge negative.

Great little stop for curbside, nostalgia, car hopping lunch. We ordered frosty mugged root beer (homemade), root beer shake (grew up calling them creamed root beer), pizza burger, and tenderloin sandwich. The service was fast, friendly, and accurate (a plus these days). Great new find.

It was ok, the main attraction is the old dinner feel. The food is bland to honest, I tried the Coney , and chicken sandwich. The food lacked a real pop of flavor but the staff was very awesome and the cars you'll find there on most well lite afternoons are awesome 👌 57'Bellaire 😎. All in all of your out for a drive it's not a bad spot to enjoy a ice cream cone.

We have always loved What A Dog over the years. But last week we came for supper and my wife’s hot dog was stone cold. They said the condiments made it cold. She re-ordered a coney dog with onions and cheese but it came out with no coney sauce. The next day we called and left a message for the owner or manager to give us a call with no response.

Wish I could leave zero stars. Mistake move on do not stop. WASTE OF TIME. Traveling saw write up and love to support independent. Ask for menu tried to get 1 of 3 girls to come back to take our order waved and called out. Was ignored went to other 2 cars that pulled in regulars. We finally gave up got out of the truck gave menu card to girl taking order and left.

It had been some years since I have been to Wot-A-Dog and I drove some distance. Growing up it the hometown Park Layne it was always a treat.The foot-long Coney's were Awesome!The crinkle cut fries not so much, seemed they were the bottom of the bag because, of their size. The amount was so little and didn't even fill the bags they serve them in.It is a scary time and finding the servers not using gloves or wearing masks was probably the worst of the visit. Touching the payment device to add tip and sign was handled by the waiter and had been touched by how many others??? I was nervous to say the least. Not because I think it's a dirty place but, our world is different now and we have to be careful.Prayers that no one that works there gets sick or my family and myself.Hope they make changes in that part of their business.

We stopped by wot-a-dog yesterday and the food was great. We drove from Cincinnati area just to get some coneys. I grew up in New Carlisle, so Wot-a-dog was a staple. We were disappointed when it closed down a few tears ago. The new owner/manager couldn't have done a better job bringing it back. My family really appreciates it!

Great service! Food was hot and yummy and served pretty quickly. I thought it was a little expensive for 2 sandwiches and one order of onion rings (and no beverages) however, we did get 2 of the biggest sandwiches on the menu (Rebelburger and Wat A Burger!) Will definitely go back!

If I could do 4.5, I would.Really good food for the value. (Might want to ask light on the cheese for Coney dogs.) Regular and diet rootbeer very good. Tots are awesome! The servers and workers do their best to serve everyone but that's small kitchen for the volume of orders going through. Be patient. It's worth it.

Fast service, limited menu so you're not overwhelmed, classic drive-in fare: footlong hot dogs, coney style dogs, fries, burgers, root beer floats, and my favorite: peanut butter chocolate milkshakes. Delicious!.

The grey non-meat footlong was horrible. I'd give the sauce a D, very messy the way they serve it without a paper underneath it, wrapped in foil upside dow . Onion rings I'd give a c maybe. One footlong, regular hamburger, 2 onion rings and a small and large drink was 19 bucks. Outrageous prices. Waitstaff was great, helpful, kind and quick.

Ever since the new owner took over, things have been fantastic. The addition of a charbroiler was exactly what the burgers needed. My son is a root beer fanatic and gives two big thumbs up to the root beer here, especially with the frosty mug. I've been there a few times this season so far, and I think they've got most of the kinks worked out. The new owner is amazingly responsive to customer feedback, and actively solicits opinions and feedback on the business Facebook page. Good job, dude, my kids and I are really enjoying this season!
